I can see the old octopus at the back
I so remember the shows at Rex Park……..some very very happy memories……
Remember it well lived in Wardlaw Crescent .
Spent many happy days there,i persuaded my poor dad to come on the octopus with me and he was so ill when we got off,lol.
Many happy memories of going to these shows.

The Waltzer ! .brings backs great memories ..nearly every time I hear ‘Tomorrow Night’ by Atomic Rooster I can imagine spinning around on that !

Used to love shows. My gran and di lived beside there used to go every Saturday they were there.
Gosh I remember Ian Cukrowski and grandAd taking me there like yesterday unfortunately one memory of Rex park is a sad one as where my grandad Winney collapsed and past away
Reminiscing they were the days.
Used to love going to the shows there in the early 70’s. Waltzers were the best. It was the only place you could enjoy loud music – T Rex, The Sweet, Slade and all the rest. Brilliant!

Omg I remember going. Thought we were cool hanging around the waltzers
dodgem, watlzers, octopus, twist and ghost train were the regular ones each year up until the octopus was replaced by the satellite. Them were the days!
Wow, spent many a day/night there. I lived in Howard Crescent and it was a real short walk to the Rex.

I lived in Howard Crescent from 1966 to about 1975, during the big conversions and the “caravans” in Rex Park.
Karen remember Mum and Gran used to take us to these shows at the back of the wee Asda x
Lived in Wallace street just a hop skip and jump away remember with fond memories the Rex and even lived in one of the caravans while houses being worked on xx the park is so different now a days
I lived in Whitelaw Crescent where I stayed until 1976.Always visited the fair when it visited…..great memories, the music, the smells and the chance of meeting a new girlfriend………
