Photograph of Laidlaw’s Garage in the town’s Hospital Hill area being demolished in 1971 as it was moving to new premises in Halbeath Road. A petrol station was built on the site that closed in 2001, and it now hosts the Carphone Warehouse and other small shops. At the top of the picture is the building that housed the Cottage Inn pub which has recently been refurbished for commercial use.
