This photograph shows the junction at the bottom of the New Row and Woodmill Street under the railway viaduct, and some of the buildings that stood there before the roundabout was expanded to cope with heavier traffic using it and becoming the extremely busy location it is today. This particular building had a history of vehicles careering into it after descending the very steep New Row.
