It was lovely. Pity they couldnt open again for small local crafts
I can’t remember ever seeing this. How long ago would this have been?
I remember this and I think the pub whisky joes was above it. Didnt you work there Barbara Campbell?
This was a lovely wee arcade and Shenanigans was a great bar and restaurant.
Yes remember water feature and there was a hat/jewellery shop in there. Funny how you forget how much Dunfermline had to offer compared with now.
I loved this.It was an original, full of character with nice wee shops.
Was this not the old gaol in time past. Can remember the Queens Gate and was surprised at the space under there.
Ma pal bought nunchucks oot the wee martial arts shop there
I had a shop in there, just beyond MA Sports. Hand made toys, paintings etc. Called “Whatevers”
What year was this ? I think I remember my mum taking there when I was wee. She always took me shopping with her my memory is vague though
Was a great wee arcade. Think it was around 1987. Some really nice shops. Would be great to have something like this in town again.
I don’t remember that but if it was 1987, I had already moved to Harrogate
It was Kings Court , I worked at Chambers wine bar and Shenanigans next door.
I remember going there when i was wee and getting goose bumps,I felt a bit scared but glad the feeling left as I got older.
It was lovely unlike the town centre now it a mess not worth going up too come on city planning do something about it
Thants were I clean it was lovely x
I remember going in there with my mum, seemed like a magical place! I get infuriated with comments saying dunfermline used to be a great place…. wake up people! It still Is a wonderful place steeped in history. The Glen and abbey and architecture are still amazing and the new music scene is top notch! I will not have a bad word said against oor wee toon! I was speaking to an older french tourist visiting and he was blown away by the beauty of oor auld toon. Always proud to call dunfermline my home!
That was quite a nice wee shopping area. Quirky and different. Town could do with something similar now
Loved this wee arcade. Used to go in with my mum… all the small independent shops were so quaint… pity the town is now full of chains ( mainly)
Lorna…. was it me and you that were talking out this place at work? I was trying to find pics of it x
