This photograph from the late 1950’s shows a view down Bruce Street with shops such as the photographer Peter Leslie, McKissock’s, and Wm Stevenson, auctioneers and furniture retailers. The ‘Old Dunfermline’ DVD, ‘Then and Now’, featuring many images and photographs can be bought in ‘Cafe Fresh’ opposite the City Chambers featured in the distance, who are kindly stocking it. Many other old photographs of Dunfermline can also be seen in the Local Studies Department in St Margaret’s House in St Margaret’s Street.
