I used to live in Halbeath till the early 80’s. I worked in Lawson /Fisher credit shop in the town centre. Always walked to work passed the college & Dunfermline Athletic Football Club.Remember going to the cinema, buying sweets from the little shop next door to it. Lovely memories.

Stayed in Victoria Terrace until the early 70s so photos of the Carnegie Baths and Pilmuir Street bring back lots of memories.
I live in Aberdeen but visited dunfermline a few times met some great people and I love the place can’t wait till June when I’m back down again

Any truth in the rumour that the former owners of the Dunlop/Duracord factory that went into administration stand a chance of getting the factory back for a song as they own (in a seperate Co not liquidated) the factory link bridge that spans Foundry Street. Surely No!
