I remember Graftons window. Always made you look sooooo fat
That brings back many memories to me. I worked around the corner in Elena Mae in East Port.
OOOOOH…was just thinking of Grafton’s last night! Bought a lovely red tartan coat from there…1962/63. Wore it to death!!!

The ornate archway is still there but in the corner between the pancake place and markies

I think there was slot machines there too I seem to remember.
There was an arcade in one of those shops where I used to play Asteroids.
I remember that we used to ‘step’ off the back of bus as it reached Grafton’s Corner to save walking back down from the bus stop on Queen Anne Street.
What was he name of the cool clothes shop opposite? Male or somesuch. Sold great Ben Sherman stuff.
I used to work round the corner in queen ann street I coopers next door to r c Ferguson the fruit shop union Inn on the corner good also the garage on the other side of coopers butcher and bakers across the road the year was 1965 when I started
All of the 33 years of my life I’ve lived in Dunfermline and never knew this was/is called Bonnar St. Thought was the other end of James St!

My dad used to clean Grafton’s and Grants windows back in the day

I still have a receipt for the dressing table i bought from Grants , early 1950’s
spent a lot of time and too much money in the mini bingo
