To enter a competition to win a £25 voucher to spend in ‘Cafe Fresh’ plus a copy of the ‘Old Dunfermline’ DVD that is on sale at ‘Cafe Fresh’ and in a stall in the Kingsgate Centre throughout December outside Debenhams, simply ‘like’ this post. The photograph is of James Street in 1974 which is now the site of the bus shelters and entrance to the Kingsgate Centre near their multi-storey car park. The winner will be announced on Friday 4th December.

My pal Yvonne’s first job was in CR Smith which was a tiny wee shop then. Does anyone remember C+ A where M+S is? The Providential Insurance place was next to it. Also does anyone remember the original Ferguson’s florist,fruit and veggie shop?.

I’m sure there was a fruit and veg shop somewhere up there, and a fish shop? This would have been in the 70’s.
