It shows Bruce Street at its junction with the High Street which used to have two-way traffic negotiating its narrow street. Burton’s shop and the ‘New Victoria’ restaurant can be seen on the right as a Co-operative fruit and vegetable cart squeezes past a parked van. Parking was allowed on opposite sides of the street on alternate days at that time.
