The East Port bar is still there today and the building on the corner is now Costa’s cafe. [ad_2] Source ← Photograph of Frederick Crescent in Dunfermline taken around 1925. They have not existed in my lifetime. Reply George Falconer 10th August 2017 at 1:19 pm One could not stand in the middle of the road now as these men are doing. Reply George Falconer 10th August 2017 at 1:20 pm I also wonder if that is a gas lamp on the corner, or is it an electric one? Reply George Falconer 10th August 2017 at 1:21 pm When I was a boy, the present day Costa was a bank. I saw it ever day on my way to the old commercial school which was down Commercial School lane just off East Port. Reply Ian Dorrat 10th August 2017 at 1:30 pm The trams started in 1909 and the last one ran in 1937. Buses started running in the 1920s and gradually the teams were phased out. The bus garage in St Leonard’s Street was the original transmission depot. Reply Mary Matthewson 10th August 2017 at 4:16 pm Used to work in the Bank of Scotland which I believe is now Costa. My Uncle owned East Port Bar many years ago.
